Affiliate Programs
Affiliates are usually website owners who divert their targeted traffic, via banners, buttons or text links, to areas of your web site. They do this on the basis that any sales accruing from that diverted traffic will earn them a commission usually between 4% and 10% of the total sale value.
Some affiliates do not have their own websites instead they use Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising to drive visitors to your web site. These affiliates may be individuals or companies who will invest substantial ammounts in keyword campaigns on Yahoo Search Marketing, Ask.com, Google or other major search engines. Bidding on terms relevant to your business, their advertisements can drive customer traffic to your site in return for a commission. PPC affiliates take the financial risk out of an online advertising campaign.
It doesn't matter how your affiliates deliver traffic to your site, You will pay them only for results. If you don't make a sale you won't have to pay the affiliate.
